Dr. Abdullah YAVAŞ has 41 years of experience in capital markets and capital market law. Born in 1963 in Muğla-Milas-Bafa, he completed his primary education there before attending boarding school at Erzurum Anatolian High School and Diyarbakır Anatolian High School. After graduating from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Business Administration in 1985, he passed the entrance exam that same year and began working at the Capital Markets Board as an "assistant auditor"; he obtained the title of Auditor/Expert after passing the qualification exam in 1989. He served at the Capital Markets Board for 32 years, auditing and managing the audit processes of numerous publicly traded companies, brokerage firms, independent auditing firms, and other institutions and organizations. During this period, he served as Deputy Head and Head of the Auditing Department (1998-2005), Head of the Brokerage Activities Department (2005-2007), and spent the final period of his career at the Capital Markets Board as a Senior Expert in the Accounting Standards Department. During this period, after completing her master's courses in Economics at the Middle East Technical University, she left it at the thesis stage and completed her master's degree in Economics at Western Illinois University (Macomb, IL) in the USA (1991-1992). She completed her doctorate at Marmara University Banking and Insurance Institute with her thesis titled "The Supervisory Role of Financial Intermediaries, Financing and Control in Companies" (2005-2011).
After completing her internship at Istanbul Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Law, where she studied between 2013-2017, she has been working as a freelance lawyer since 2019.
She holds a Certified Public Accountant license, an Independent Auditor Certificate, and capital market licenses issued by SPL. She has taught and continues to teach finance, capital markets, and law courses at various universities.
